  • Regular Registrations: 18 March - 31 March

  • Late Registrations: 1 April - 14 April

QUESTIONS

  • Are there any age restrictions for delegates?
    SMUN 2024 will only be accepting delegates between the ages of 15 and 25 years old. Delegates who are turning 15 or 26 in the calendar year may still register, in the event the delegate's birthday falls after SMUN 2024. Delegates outside of the prescribed age range will be entertained on a case-by-case basis.
  • Will there be socials this year?
    Yes! Our Conference Management team has lined up exciting activities for you to de-stress and bond with your fellow delegates after rigorous academic debate sessions.
  • When and where is the conference held?
    The conference will be taking place this year from 4th - 7th June 2024 physically at National University of Singapore (NUS). As the conference is based in Singapore, do note that our working language is English and that Singapore follows the GMT+8 time zone.
  • If there is an emergency, who am I supposed to contact?
    Any emergencies can be directed to liaisons@singaporemun.org.
  • What is the cost per delegate? Are there any discounts?
    For Early Bird Registrations, the conference fees are SGD$130/pax. For Regular Registrations, the conference fees are SGD$150/pax. For Late Registrations, the conference fees are SGD$170/pax. Conference fees go towards supporting all logistical and administrative needs to ensure that we are able to deliver the best possible conference experience for you.
  • What am I entitled to?
    All delegates will have full access to all conference events and proceedings, including the opening and closing ceremonies.
  • Will foreign delegates be allowed to take part in the conference?
    Yes, SMUN 2024 is open to all local and international delegates. The conference will be held fully physically in Singapore.
  • What am I supposed to do after submitting the registration form?
    You will receive an acknowledgement email, which details payment information, after you register for the conference. Please only make payment upon receipt of this email. Upon payment, a subsequent confirmation email will be sent out to confirm your payment and registration. Allocation will only be done after this second email has been sent to you. Should you wish to check your registration details after submission, please do send an email to datamanagement@singaporemun.org.
  • If I have any queries, who am I supposed to contact and how?
    For general queries, you may reach our liaisons team through any of the following ways: Submit an enquiry form in the contact us section; Email us at liaisons@singaporemun.org; Drop us a message via our Facebook page; Send us a direct message via our Instagram account @singaporemun. For financial queries (eg. payment details), please contact our finance team via email at finance@singaporemun.org. For academics queries (eg. committee allocation, study guides), please contact our academics team via email at academics@singaporemun.org. Should there be a need to check your registration details, please send an email to datamanagement@singaporemun.org.
  • Are faculty advisors allowed to observe the conference?
    Yes, faculty advisors are allowed to observe the conference. Faculty advisors should register within the same form as their delegation and indicate the day(s) which they would like to observe. There is a registration fee of $50 for faculty advisors who wish to observe the conference. We will subsequently email the faculty advisor(s) with all the necessary details they will need to access the conference. This helps us in ensuring the safety of all our participants by making sure only authorised individuals are able to access the conference.
  • If I find out that I have to miss the entire conference after registering and paying, am I entitled to a refund?"
    SMUN follows a strict no-refund policy. Delegates who are unable to attend the conference are encouraged to find a replacement delegate. Please get back to us via email with the following details of the replacement delegate as soon as possible: Name: [TITLE] [FIRST NAME] [LAST NAME] Age (as of 4 June 2024) Date of Birth: DD/MM/YYYY Sex: Male / Female / Others Mailing address Contact number.: +[COUNTRY CALLING CODE] [MOBILE NUMBER] Email address: Do you require a proof of participation letter?: Yes / No (Delegates may request for this letter should they require funding from an organisation or an official excusal letter.)
  • How many councils are there? What councils are there? What are the topics?
    There will be 11 councils at SMUN 2024, including a Joint Cabinet Crisis! You can go to our website for more details under the "councils" section.
  • Will there be any awards?
    Yes, there will be awards, namely the Best Delegate, Outstanding Delegate, Honourable Mention and Best Position Paper awards.
  • What if I am unable to participate in the conference fully (i.e. skipping a day or two)?
    All participants are required to attend at least 7 out 9 council sessions to receive a Certificate of Participation. Excusal from sessions will be entertained on a case-by-case basis with relevant documentation submitted to the Secretariat General.
